A versatile media technocrat and sustainable development consultant, Aliu Akoshile has over three decades of experience as a journalist, editor, banker and mass communication strategist. He is the Executive Chairman of Almak Media Limited, publishers of NatureNews Africa, and former MD/Editor-in-Chief of the DAILY TIMES, Nigeria’s oldest surviving newspaper.
Before then, he managed the entire revenue portfolio of Media Trust Limited, publishers of the DAILY TRUST newspaper, as the group Associate Director. He also doubled as Editor-in-Chief of Kilimanjaro, a pan-African periodic news magazine published by Media Trust Limited.
Aliu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and a Master’s in International Relations & Strategic Studies. He has attended executive programmes at the University of Oxford, UK; Lagos Business School; and Howard University School of Business, Washington DC, USA.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and member: International Press Institute, IPI Nigeria; Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE; and Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria, ACSPN. He plays golf and is passionate about the living environment.
